Consider that Gabriel, the same angel who had visited Zechariah six months before, now visited Mary and brought news of another unexpected baby. What did Mary hurry to do after the angel left her? Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months, so it is possible she attended the birth of John the Baptist - a helpful experience for a young girl, who herself would soon give birth. When was Zechariah able to speak again, and why do you thing the timing was significant?
